WE THE PEOPLE OF THE JOHNSON COUNTY TEA PARTY,
Propose to raise an awareness of issues surrounding the need for and the lack of fiscal responsibility currently taking place; to educate ourselves and others through quantifiable numbers and information; to continue to raise a grassroots network that can influence the local, state and federal governments towards financial responsibility; and of our many, to become one in purpose and principle as free Americans.
Our national debt is sky-rocketing, faster than any time since World War II!
The United States has to borrow between 3 trillion and 4 trillion dollars over the next two years. That will cause interest rates to rise, killing economic recovery!
Nothing in the United States Constitution or any law passed by Congress gave the government the right to take over automobile companies.
The Bill of Rights expressly forbids the government to take private property without compensation, as it did when it ordered auto dealers to close.
It is unconstitutional for the United States Government to force citizens to purchase any service, such as health insurance and to be penalized, fined and possibly jailed for non-compliance.
President Obama has appointed more than 34 “Czars” in charge of everything from auto recovery to energy to bailouts to pay. These tax payer funded positions, Czars, are answerable only to the President because unlike cabinet secretaries they do not have to be confirmed by Congress.
“We must not let our RULERS load us with perpetual debt.”
Thomas Jefferson
